CHRISTIAN KARAOKE

A common misconception is that Christians don't have fun. As more contemporary Christian artists are busting onto the music scene, so is their music becoming more available on karaoke. You’ll find traditional standards you may have grown up with much like “Victory in Jesus” and “I’ll Fly Away” to all the new Praise & Worship tunes such as “How Great is Our God” and “My Redeemer Lives”. God has put it into your heart to sing and karaoke is a great way to praise the Lord and fellowship with other believers.  So get your friends together and find a place to do karaoke that won’t offend you or your new-found faith!

HOW TO GET STARTED:   Contact a local church or if you have a church home, ask if they have a karaoke machine and a place to get together. They may already have a youth-oriented outing scheduled weekly where karaoke would fit right in.  Look in the yellow pages if your local church doesn't have the facilities or the desire to set up karaoke.  A larger church may have a weekly café or other type of meeting place for this type of fellowship.  Search out your own karaoke material. If you don't need a large audience, find a tape or CD of your favorite Christian artist. Look at your local Christian book store, department store or media store. Look online for karaoke material. Manufacturers produce karaoke for the Christian consumer too. Every type of music imaginable is available, from hip hop to kid's to country. Practice a little at home and in front of Fido.

HAVE A PARTY! Now that you have found the Christian karaoke, plan an event, large or small, and get together for some great fellowship and awesome worship! Try kamakazi karaoke, where you sing whatever the next song is!  Remember, whatever or however you sing, you’re making a joyful noise unto the Lord!

KARAOKE SINGER ATTACKED IN SEATTLE

A woman attacked a singer belting out Coldplay on Thursday night, telling him he "sucked" before she pushed and punched him to get him to stop singing, bar staff said.  The man was singing "Yellow" when it happened. "It took three or four of us to hold her down," bartender Robert Willmette said. When she was escorted outside, the 21-year-old woman "went crazy," Willmette said, throwing punches at him and others, including an off-duty police officer.

Patrol officers and detectives then arrived at the neighborhood bar and blocked off the street, which inflamed the woman's rage even more, a police report said. Before police could handcuff the woman, she head-butted the off-duty officer at least twice. The off-duty officer was treated for cuts, scrapes and bruises.

After treatment for injuries, the woman was booked into the King County jail for investigation of assault. She was also held on a warrant issued for a previous theft charge. According to bartender notes, she had only a single shot of Jagermeister.

KARAOKE PLAYERS: Choosing what’s right for you

Having trouble deciding on which Karaoke player you want to purchase for those at home parties or to take your own show on the road? The following suggestions may be just what you’re looking for.

HOME USE/KIDS –Low End

Cost between $99.00 and $200.00

You’ll find “affordable” machines which are geared more for people who don’t sing a lot or for children. Lower end players usually include one microphone and a built in speaker. These units may not last very long, especially if your kids over use it. Smaller units are best in small rooms.

MORE PROFESSIONAL – Mid Range

Cost between $250.00 and $300.00

Many homes now have great stereo sound in their living rooms or dens which make a mid-range unit be a great choice for the occasional karaoke get-together. You’ll discover many machines with quality microphones, remote control, CD and DVD players as well.

PROFESSIONAL – High End

Cost between $350.00 & up

Serious crooners need serious machines. Vocopro & CAVS are just a couple of professional manufacturers of high quality products. Expect to find multi-disc changers, exceptional microphones and hard drives that can hold 10,000 songs and more!

We here at KARAOKE OUTLET offer many options for all your karaoke needs. Check out our site today….”Where You Can Be a Star”!
