Billy Currington

The guy next door…

Currington began writing songs as a teenager and began playing guitar at age 17. “I still have my first guitar and the receipt for it,” he says. “I bought it at a pawn shop in Savannah, Georgia, for about $120.”

Since 2003 you’ve sung along with Billy on the radio to his hit records such as “I Got A Feeling”, “Walk a Little Straighter Daddy”, the duo with Shania Twain, “Party For Two” and “Must Be Doing Something Right” just to name a few.  He began his career just like many other country favorites, from Nashville, Tennessee.  All his hard work has lead him to meet all his C&W mentors as well as appearances on television with Diane Sawyer on Good Morning America, People & US Today Magazines as well as Playgirl, which featured a (clothed) Currington on its March 2005 cover and Nashville Lifestyles magazine named him one of its “25 Most Beautiful People.”  Not bad for a southern boy from Rincon, Georgia who started singing at just 17 years old!

When asked about how he liked being on the road, he humbly answered, “I like to picture up ahead to the end. When you are 80, what are you really going to want? What’s really going to matter? It’s not a lot of materialistic things for me. It’s just maybe a front porch, a couple of rocking chairs, a simple life.”

Billy’s latest LP release “Little Bit of Everything” showcases his diversity, adding some soul & rock into his lineup.  “People Are Crazy” went to #7 on the Hot Country Billboard chart.  For the karaoke version of the hit song simply search Karaoke Outlet.com for it and many other titles made famous by Billy Currington, Billboards #10 pick for Top Male Country Artist!    Click on the following link to see the video “People Are Crazy” now:
